ICloud Photo Sharing does not count against your iCloud storage allotment.If you have more than one existing iPhoto and/or Aperture library, you can choose to migrate those individual libraries to new Photos libraries, but note that you can only have one System Photo Library on your Mac that is synced to your iCloud account.To create a new Photos library that is not a System Photo Library or to migrate another existing library to to a new Photos library, quit Photos, press and hold on the Option key, and then relaunch Photos. From there you will get the option to choose another library or create a new one. As long as your Mac is in a good running state, then you can proceed with creating a backup in a jiffy. You may need it, if you have problems to migrate a library to Photos and have to fix the problem running iPhoto.If you migrate an iPhoto Library to Photos, the libraries will be sharing the photos by hard links not not needing much additional storage. At the end of March you will no longer be able to order print products from Apple using iPhoto.While iPhoto is still working, keep it installed, if you are still having iPhoto Libraries. Currently iPhoto 9.6.1 is still working on El Capitan, but any new system update may break it. New Macs come only with Photos.
